C. Phillip Clegg
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner

C. Phillip Clegg is a native Texan who attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a BBA degree in real estate in 1966. After completing his post-graduate studies, Mr. Clegg obtained his Real Estate Broker license and set out to gain a broader experience in the real estate industry. Thereafter, Mr. Clegg became an officer in a local Dallas savings and loan association, where he managed their largest branch for over three years.

His interest in land development led to hands-on development experience with several developer/home builders including Cambridge Companies Development Corporation (a Ray Hunt controlled entity), City Investing (Raldon Homes), Dalcon Development and Ratcliff Investments – both privately held investment companies, and eventually formed his own company.

Mr. Clegg has developed/co-developed over 3,100 single-family residential lots in the Dallas – Ft. Worth metropolitan area including the cities of Carrollton, Richardson, Plano, Mesquite, Garland, Arlington, Dallas and Ft. Worth. He has been responsible for the contracting and site design of thousands of lots both in Texas and Arizona. Additionally, Mr. Clegg has been a joint venture partner as well as managing partner in several non-residential projects such as cold storage warehouses, high-rise office buildings and small commercial tracts.

He has been notably successful in obtaining city approvals for controversial zoning and platting cases, including those associated with the introduction of the recently available Red Group Development design concepts. The first such case in Rowlett, Texas resulted in enthusiastic support of staff and a unanimous favorable final vote by the City Council. Subsequent design orders for several Top 10 national builders have resulted in on-going subdivisions to date.

Past and current civic and professional associations include the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas, the original Goals for Dallas task force, The Five Hundred Club and Dallas Big Brothers Association. Mr. Clegg is also an active public speaker.
